You’re a good man. You try to do the right thing. You care. You give. You keep the peace.
But somewhere along the way, it started costing you more than you realised.
You find yourself holding back, telling little lies, avoiding conflict, trying to please everyone - and still, it never feels like enough.
And now, you’re feeling stuck. Resentful. Unhappy. Or just… not fully you.
Sound familiar?
This book club is for men who know they’ve got some work to do - the internal kind. Instead of sweeping this stuff under the rug - you're ready to look at it.
This is a space for good men - kind, courageous, committed - to explore personal growth together. Without pressure. Without judgement. With support.
The next round starts on Monday 14th July where we will be reading No More Mr Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover.
This round of The Good Men Book Club is for you if you:
- Seek approval from others
- Avoid conflict & arguments
- Hide your true feelings
- Feel like a little boy on the inside
- Try to fix and solve everyone's problems
- Believe you need to be perfect (and hide mistakes)
- Try to be the opposite of your dad
- Struggle making your needs a priority
- Find it easier to connect with women than men
- Only feel okay if your partner is
How It Works:
- We open with a welcome call on Monday 14th July at 8PM (UK time).
- Each week, you'll need to make time to read roughly 30 pages of No More Mr Nice Guy & do some of the exercises.
- We then meet every Monday at 8PM from the 21st July for 6 weeks to discuss what we’re seeing, learning, and experiencing.
- On the calls you'll have the chance to share (if you want to), connect with other men and be supported.
- There’s also a private Facebook group for staying connected between calls.
If you’re ready to stop trying to please everyone, start showing up as your full self, and finally feel free to be the good man you already are - this is for you.
As a former nice guy myself, I'll be re-reading this book as I want to revisit the ideas and exercises. I will be sharing my experiences and leading the discussions.
I'm here for you and I'd love to walk part of your journey with you.
If you have any questions email me via [email protected]
Here's what you’ll get from reading the book (especially with us doing it together):
✅ Recognise the patterns of the Nice Guy - people-pleasing, overgiving, avoiding conflict - and start seeing them for what they really are: old survival strategies that no longer serve you.
✅ Learn how to set healthy boundaries, express your truth, and honour your needs - without guilt, shame or apology.
✅ Let go of the pressure to be perfect, and discover that your power lies in your honesty, not your performance.
✅ Reconnect with your deeper self - the part of you that’s grounded, clear, and fully alive - so you can start showing up as the man you actually are.
This is an incredible book and I highly recommend it if you're a 'nice' guy. This isn’t just about reading a book though - it’s about doing the work with other men who get it. If you’d appreciate some support, accountability and real conversation along the way - this is for you.
Yes this work can be emotional, vulnerable and serious. But we can also make it fun, light-hearted and enjoyable.
That's what I want your experience of The Good Men Book Club to be - life changing in the content and lessons you learn, rewarding from the bonds you build and enjoyable at seeing how much can shift in your life when you show up for yourself.
This is not some course to pass or complete, it's an invitation for you to explore and get what you need to move forward. You just need to be willing to show up, be honest, read and reflect.
If this speaks to you, I'd love for you to join us. Let's bond over books not beers :)
- Paul
Additional Info
This isn't a coaching or therapy group. It's an invitation for you to have some support as you read the book, an opportunity to share if you feel called to and a space where you can perhaps for the first time be around other men brave enough to be seen without the bravado - just real, honest and true.
